The nice thing about having a goals list is…

However, here we are – already the second week of July and in case you missed the post about your first six months of the year, please have a read.

If you didn’t set any goals and you’re wondering if it’s even worth it, it absolutely is worth it.

The thing with goals (and with saving money, incidentally) is that once you start and you see success, you get hooked.

The otherΒ  nice thing about having a little list of goals (I suggest 3 to start) is that you always feel accomplished or at least, like you’re moving towards something.

Oftentimes I feel like the month has been a blur and on the last day of the month (my favourite day of the month because I get to do a goals review and set new goals for the month ahead) I realise with delight that actually, I achieved quite a bit πŸ™‚

I love that feeling and I want it for you too.

Grab a piece of paper and write down just 3 things for this month. 3 is small, doable and totally achievable.

Let’s see – maybe it’s to invite a friend over, to go to gym twice a week and to update your CV. You’re going to feel MAGNIFICENT when you get it done! I promise πŸ™‚

Let me share some successes with you in my life so far this year…. and some things I still need to get done… so you can see how it’s all going.

Successes

  1. I’ve revamped ALL the products – woohoo! Go have a look
  2. Get in photos with the kids at least once a month (I already have 80 decent pics of me and the kids just this year)
  3. Tone and strengthen core (working with personal trainer weekly)
  4. Read 65 books – am 2 books ahead of where I should be according to Goodreads.
  5. Take 6 photo walks – all done although intended for the year so I’m adding 6 more.

Still on the list

  1. Get a second book on the Kindle (am working to get 31 days on Amazon like Live Organised is – should happen in July)
  2. Lose 6.4 kg – well on the way
  3. Try a new recipe once a month (going well :))

I so hope this post encourages you.

Please share just ONE goal of your 2013 goals with me…

whether you’ve reached it yet or you’re still working on it.

PS If you need a little push and some very practical how-to steps, get my goals product – it will definitely help you.

PPS if you’ve read Live Organised, you should add it to your Goodreads list.

PPPS I’ll be crossing another goal off my list in about two hours when we set off for our second family holiday for the year… to the beach πŸ™‚

  1. My goal is to go 1/2 day by the end of the year, with no drop in income. I need to start something that I can do from home that will allow this (I am working hard on it). My goal for 2014 is to make that “part time income” grow enough to cover my present salary and then quit. Quite a goal ????
