4 ways to stay on top of all the reading

By Marcia Francois

======================================================

I live by the motto, “so many books, so little time” and lately, “so many blogs, so little time” πŸ˜‰

Even if you’re not generally a reader, there are still MANY areas of reading to do and today, I’m going to show you how to keep it all under control.

But before I do, remember you don’t HAVE to read everything that comes your way.

If you haven’t read a certain magazine in the last 3 months, cancel your subscription (I did this recently with my Shape magazine and now the pressure is ALL GONE) and save some money πŸ˜‰

Here are 4 ways to stay on top of your reading:

1. READ IN THE BATHROOM

It’s one of the best places to get your reading done πŸ˜‰ And ladies, have a nice bubble bath once a week. If you read a magazine, it’s relaxing AND you’re getting through your reading.

2. READ ON THE PLANE

If and when you travel, take your reading folder with you. You don’t have one?

Keep any ebooks, articles, magazines, etc. in a plastic folder. The bonus is when you’re done, you just TOSS! It’s wonderful. You can be sure I’ll be stocking up my folder for the 10-hour flight on Friday.

I got through 4 ebooks on a 2-hour flight once – you can see what my folder looks like here: http://tinyurl.com/4ele3o

3. READ WHILE YOU HAVE EAT

I read ebooks and blogs (on Google Reader) while I have lunch every day. It’s a routine for me and ensures I get through my reading.

Another bonus is I’m not wasting ink and paper by printing out unnecessary ebooks.

4. LOOK THROUGH MAGAZINES WHILE WATCHING MINDLESS TV

This tip works well for programmes you don’t have to concentrate on too much, like soaps.

I like to use this time to page through home and dΓ©cor magazines. I then tear out recipes, good ideas and beautiful spaces for my GOOD IDEAS display folder (flipfile).

There you go – 4 easy ways to stay on top of your reading.
